re: Tomatoes update

@keithzg I am quite familiar with "let perfect be the enemy of good" poor choices in all things house & garden, so no judgment there. I hope you still get a tomato or two from the constrained plants.

The ones in the planters are looking good! The mix of storms & warm days has certainly activated the gardens after the cool start to June.

Not quite #YEGwx, but there's a "baseball sized hail" warning as part of a Red Severe Thunderstorm warning, for the area just north of Red Deer, including Lacombe & Panoka #Alberta, Right Now!

@keithzg Are you familiar with findedmonton.com ?
(unfortunately their website seems a little vibed-up & the donate page link is a dud, but you could call / visit to see if they take household things that are smaller than furniture)
(they're not far, just on the other side of the uAlberta farm)

@sbourne 💖 Thanks Sarah. And yeah, that's how I need to focus on it. Yes, I didn't go to those events, but I got out the following day each time (assuming I get out to the jam tomorrow). Just got to keep things flexible.

And yes, the garden got a little neglected between rainy days & smoky days & busy days. It has been popping up all over, not just the weeds! Still not much to harvest other than radishes & green onions, but the first of the peas are almost ready.

@MetalheadDana Thanks Dana. Brain is starting to feel more functional. Went outside to take some photos of peonies that just opened & ended up puttering around the garden for a bit, taking photos, pulling weeds, and watering a few planters that dry out sooner than the rest.

But I missed out on the music & social activity planned for today. For the third time in 8 days.

I did get out twice in that same period, though. A few years ago that would have been amazing. But you start to feel better, you start to make plans... And I just hate all the regular reminders that I can't do that.

@keithzg The more productive outage would be internet, I guess. No distractions, focus on your task at hand, but still have lights in the basement & other things you'd need, without having to unpack boxes to find all your flashlights & emergency gear!

I hope she got things done nonetheless. And somehow found a refreshing beverage when she needed it.
