trump's speech has been delayed. Tentatively scheduled for 11 p.m.
Fireworks presumably will follow the speech.
Rain has now stopped.

The theme of trump's speech seems to be to thrown in the word "Communist" every minute. That's their campaign strategy for November.
Other themes - militarism, jingoism, Christianity, voter ID, demonization of everyone non-MAGA, ...
America sounds like a very violent country in the speech.
Very low energy crowd; probably few in number and tired and bored.

@AkaSci this looks like the San Diego 2012 firework incident. That was caused by a computer glitch, this one by ignoramuses who understand nothing about the concept of beauty and subtlety, boorish children spending other peoples money, gorging themselves on excess and spectacle.
