I know I said I’d take a break, and honestly I did! But then I knocked out chapter 8. Pieces are starting to fit together and everything is getting very exciting, but if I don’t stop now I’ll never get to sleep. 😅

The last two areas have me frustrated. Narrow twisty paths that are fairly dense with monsters and have named mobs that aggro from a mile away. Kept dying and getting lost and tried to just sprint thru everything.
Now I find myself stuck at a boss fight that I’m severely underleveled for and need to go back and grind the mobs I sprinted past in the first place.
My own fault, but still frustrating.

Gating progression behind acquired field skills is bullshit and pissed me right off, and not only because I haven’t been paying attention to field skills.
I managed to get past the roadblocks, however, and the story got its hooks back into me. Nia also finally came out of her shell. Or her mustard colored onesie, I suppose.

Well I’ve managed to get out of both Chapter Six and the snow, but beside some of the incredibly corny dialog, I’m not sure it was worth that gut punch the story just delivered. 😅
Just landed in Tantal. I should have expected a snow section, but I’m still disappointed. 😕
Oh, I totally forgot what day it was yesterday. How embarrassing, especially for such an important day!
