A rugged moorland scene across numerous large and small boulders, known as clitter, towards a prominent high point, Leather Tor, in the mid-distance. The clitter is surrounded by grass and other short green vegetation.To the left of Leather Tor are a group of conifer trees and several single ones, escapees from plantations. Seen hazily in the distance is extensive moorland. The sky is pale blue top right fading to very pale blue, almost white.
