Granddaughter is jaundiced (3 days old). They made her stay in hospital an extra day after delivery. She went home on Friday but is turning yellow again.
Anyone have experience with this?
Do I need to be worried about her?

@Truthy both of my girls were jaundiced. They just need to get her direct sunlight on her skin (no sunscreen). Do that several times a day for brief periods, like 20 or 30 min at a time. She will be just fine, no worries!

@Truthy

What @Peaceandprosperity said. Short periods in the sun throughout the day for a few days and she'll be fine.

When they keep jaundiced babies in the hospital, they put the babies under a sun lamp.

You can ask for a hepatitis test if there's any chance mom has it.

@tj @Truthy @Peaceandprosperity yep. My daughter was the same way when she was born. She was fine after a week.
