“… a new disruptive transport technology is rapidly changing cities across the rich world. It is highly energy-efficient, costs almost nothing, reduces congestion and pollution, and obviates the need for huge car parks. Yet it is not the self-driving electric car, as tech moguls and car industry executives imagined. Rather, it is the humble bicycle.”

@Voline Cycling infrastructure has become a necessity here in Greenville, South Carolina, for two reasons:
1. Public Demand: More than 600,000 cyclists and pedestrians use the Swamp Rabbit Trail, annually, which has triggered growth in businesses adjacent to the trail.
2. The population of the central business district and surrounding neighborhoods is growing dramatically. The CBD especially, cannot accommodate any more roads for cars, so they have been installing bicycle boulevards.
