@sun@shitposter.world im not accusing you of anything it's just kinda wild when you look into it. like the courts in this country are basically set up to let people like alex jones avoid this kind of thing by delaying, obfuscation, etc and he just decided to make things worse for himself at every opportunity

@sun@shitposter.world again, it was like 2 years ago that I researched this but im pretty sure he straight up just ignored a bunch of the cases against him and had default judgements entered against him. Also worth remembering he was continuing to defame and harass dozens of people over and over across multiple years so this is the culmination of literally hundreds of counts of defamation and harassment.

Also pretty sure he refused to comply with discovery so any punitive damages are going to be based off of "well you didn't tell us anything about how much money you actually have so we're just going to assume the worst"

@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz I would say the main things to disable are gatekeeper (having it enabled makes you jump through hoops to launch unsigned applications, it's unfortunately they made the process so annoying because I'd rather have gatekeeper enabled since it is useful but they fucked it up) and, if you really want to install/tweak system modifications, System Integrity Protection, though I personally would recommend keeping it on unless you really want some specific macOS modification because it is a genuinely useful security feature

@georgia@netzsphaere.xyz I don't remember exactly how but macOS 26 was so buggy for awhile I had a configuration profile installed to disable major version upgrade notifications
