I'd like y'all to meet Chloe, Lucky and Kevy
Chole was a small grey kitten who was the runt of the litter. My sibling fell in love with her at a pet shopp when they were 4 years old and when I came home from school one day she was sitting there waiting for me. Chole looked after me all through childhood. She was part Siamese and was the LOUDEST cat you've ever met. Yet even at 22 years old she could fall asleep comfortably in the palms of your hands
Lucky was a English Staffie. She charged at you as soon as you came through the door with a whine that could pierce the moon. When she went to the dog park she immediately surrendered to any dog bigger than her by launching herself like a torpedo at them and landing on her back. If she saw another staffie? GAME. ON. It was a full on physical contest of boofing and bashing and boffing that ended with both dogs climbing on each other licking themselves clean. One puppy she met had never met another staffie before and wow Lucky just became mum to that little pup in less than 60 seconds. My god the mum coding in Lucky... I thought we'd adopted someone else's puppy... She was so full of love it radiated out of her to the point where she looked after the cats Chole and Kevy before herself. I've never met a kinder animal and I never will
And Kevy. Kevy was deaf as a post. He was dearly loved by his past owner who passed suddenly and Kevy came to live with us. He took a particular shine to me and wouldn't leave my room when he first got to the house. One night I went for a midnight walk to to the shops and when I was walking back I heard a strange, small scream. Kevy the deaf cat had woken up, didn't know where I was and started yelling as loud as he possibly could. I raced home to find mum had woken up to look after him and he started purring like a jackhammer when I walked in. It was a quiet night from there
