Boy, are there a lot of cut scenes in this game (really gorgeous graphics and music and atmosphere, though)

Asking “what if?” for a living, trying to think and act long-term (emerging tech security) • opinions mine, not guaranteed correct • rarely an expert, often an enthusiast • Internet ops since the 20th century • eternally curious • loved beyond comprehension; learning to relax • be kind • celebrate beauty • fear not • keep hope alive • SoCal 🌊

@tbortels they are only open on Saturday and Sunday mornings for breakfast, and I found out about them when the LA Times did a list of the top 10 breakfast burritos in SoCal and they were on it (this was back before pandemic I think)
I’m so old I remember when everybody was all “what’s an ‘Enix’ and why is Squaresoft renaming to that?”
(Got FF7 Remake on sale for Switch 2; props to @ifixcoinops for the heads-up that there was a remake)

@timo21 I get the feeling that the allure of the private jet is primarily in not having to consider the schedule of any other person.
“There’s a lie ensconced in the corner of my heart— a lie that our culture enshrines as truth. It whispers that it is up to me to hold my life together through my hard work, through my accomplishments, through measuring up, through having the right body and brain and soul. It tells me I must never stop striving.“

@Viss you are doing it right, very regionally appropriate AND delicious
Had breakfast with a half dozen friends this morning at The Old Place, and it remains one of the best breakfast burritos in all of SoCal. (Cinnamon rolls are unreal as well.) But mostly, it has an ambience and sense of place that is really unmatched. You have to see it in person to really appreciate it.
EDIT: fixed URL!
The Old PlaceThe Old PlaceThe Old Place serves honest food cooked over fire in a rustic setting.@jrconlin @tess @Alice couldn’t stand either of them until fairly recently, when I finally decided tequila was ok, and then I had mezcal in a four parts cocktail that included strawberry and lime and IIRC Campari (?) … and it was surprisingly good.
So maybe you just need the right balance of supporting ingredients?
@bryan that magic keyboard with touch ID is my current daily driver; I like it quite a bit, but I am starting to wear off the printing on a few of the left-hand home row keys after about four years
@mxchara @FinchHaven @ai6yr I have learned to associate them with atypical humidity, at least in Southern California
