Taking stock after walking around this morning with and without crutches, I realize I’ve tried to ditch the crutches too quickly, likely to my detriment. I can hobble short distances OK, but for any extended walking I need to stick with the crutches for now. It’s deflating, but such is recovery. I was seduced by the siren song of having two free hands to carry something when needed 😀

@Vanvidum I spent a couple of days near Watkins Glen last year. There are a TON of wineries and breweries along NY 414 on the west side of Seneca Lake. Most any are worth checking out, but Damiani Wine Cellars was the lone winery that was clearly queer friendly, and they had a great vibe. Finger Lakes distilling next door had some good stuff too. I liked their Seneca Drums Gin. Also, I can highly recommend this place for lodging, if available: airbnb.com/rooms/34745733
