@sjvn yeah.. I just developed ( with help of AI ) a 32bit retro x86 OS that is no less capable than DOS/Windows95 and Linux fundamentals of the 90s as experiment and it of course doesn't handle all and is far from production ready, yet helped me to understand fundamentals of OS development and proved such thing still could have a single floppy installer and occupy damn 300kB in total. Including all POSIX1 command line tools in text mode/terminal.. my personal goal is to fit it as complete OS that can have live bootable demo from a floppy and install on HDD without known limits to all single core intel systems. It proves nothing as a hobby project outside new knowledge and a fact that things can be small and work. Really work!
