That's not what I saw in real time. I saw him take weight off his foot as soon as he realized it wasn't on the ground. If he didn't, that ankle would have been seriously damaged if not broken.
Remember that reaction time is required between sensing something and getting the muscles to act in response to the conscious command.

And not only did Democrats in critical 2024 races not push back on GOP lies and scapegoating they ran "tough on immigration" light ads that had the effect of amplifying and confirming the lies.
And they either did nothing or confirmed GOP attacks on the Trans community. Idiocy.

What they could and should have done is help run ads like these from Amplify Freedom (a Freedom Over Fascism consortium effort) all over the place -
