One week from today I might have clear vision in my right (dominant) eye again! I had a #cataract operation a year or so ago, and like the left eye, it has gone cloudy and blurred. Which makes manual focusing my SLRs tricky, of course! I'm due a YAG laser capsulotomy. The left eye was very successful, so I'm hopeful. The procedure was approximately like slightly prolonged retinal photography, IIRC. There might be slightly more risk this time, as years ago I had a retinal detachment in that eye.

The YAG laser capsulotomy happened last Wednesday. It took MUCH longer than the first eye... that took about half a minute and was like having a dozen retinal photos. This one took 5 minutes or so and was taken at lots of different angles. Pretty uncomfortable, all told, but not painful.
I took my camera out yesterday and was pleased to see my subject popping into focus like it used to! So looking good. I'll wait a few weeks for things to settle down before getting my eyes tested again.
