The cargo bike is easily the best purchase we've done.
Not only because it allows us not to own a car but it's just convenient.
Never needing refueling, parking or having to sit in a traffic jam.
And the kids love it. Sometimes they sleep,.sometimes they sing, sometimes they just enjoy the views of the world rolling by.

@topher1kenobe to add a bit. We have a trailer we used in city. A big difference was that in a trailer the kids didn't really feel as they were part of the group. With a cargo bike they're right there with us chatting, asking about nature or chatting away during the trip.

@lehtimaeki What is the model/manufactuer? I like that the center of gravity is low. I expect that it is a very stable ride.

Our is a CaGo. I tho they only make one model.

They all serve somewhat different purpose. 3-wheeler is a great option for cities. It's stable in low speeds and even stopped. Trailer as well, but trailer requires a pretty decent eMTB to pull it for longer trips (which we don't have).
A 2-wheeler like this is great for longer trips. We regularly do 40km trips which could become difficult otherwise.
You could think the 3-wheeler as a city bike and a 2-wheeler as a MTB. Kind of. :)
