I think I figured it out. I want to work less with things where knowing more makes you hate them more. And more with things where knowing more makes you love them more.

If I work with $thing I want to learn more about $thing. And the perspective of disliking $thing more in the future is terrible and demotivating.

Yes, this is about (current) computers and most of tech. I think I really want to quit tech. It's terrible for my soul.
