One of the benefits for me of being an eBike rider is that I can maintain a higher speed at any given effort level. This means functionally that I can make a breeze. In previous heat waves, that's extended my functional outdoor temperature to, like, 35°C, as long as I can get to a temperature-moderated space as soon as I stop moving.

On an analogue bike, I rediscovered a few weeks ago when it was hot here how important that was. Trying to make my way up a hill, I had to stop in shade to cool off over and over again. Not from the effort, that was fine: from the temperature. I couldn't move fast enough to generate effective cooling.
