Name a country in the world that is a former Great Nation, which has been waging a multipronged war of ideology-for-plunder-by-plutocrats both globally & by oppression of its own Public through disrupt-and-disinform tactics; against the mere recognition of class inequity; against all simple observation (let alone embrace) of our cultural & religious diversity; against the sovereignty of nations and the sanctity of Actual Human Life, particularly against women, all poor, all gay, nonbinary or in any way non-conforming, all indigenous people; against any positive valuation of liberté, égalité, fraternité, i.e., one-person-one-vote democracy; and which was once not coincidentally an ostensible worldwide beacon for each of those ideals.
