I think you may just be a coward. This is performative nonsense. NSFW tagging functionality is already stronger here than basically anywhere else.
You can't even handle people posting what they like; you wouldn't be in the streets to defend them; you'd go “damn, shame” and keep going as you did before. What you do on your instance is your choice; trying to dictate what the flagship instances or anyone else does is where you lose any sort of reasonable ground.
