@phnt @sendpaws Yes, relays. Why it is a useless traffic? On the contrary, embedded signatures reduce traffic because relayed posts don't need to be fetched from origin.

Mastodon relay protocol used LD signatures for this reason. Now we're replacing them with something that everyone can implement. There is a JCS implementation in Elixir: https://github.com/pzingg/jcs
