Sometimes you can request your #library to acquire a book and they'll buy the book and give you the book and you can then read the book!
...and then it'll be on the shelf for others to read.

If your library can’t or won’t buy a book that you want, Interlibrary Loan can get a copy to read for free.

@stevewfolds theoretically, but ever time I've tried to engage interlibrary loans it has failed, sadly
