After years of people raving about John Wick, I finally got around to watching it. I'm aware I'm very much in the minority here, but honestly, I don't see what the fuss is about.
The story boils down to ex-hitman's wife dies, dumb gangster messes with him, ex-hitman takes revenge. That's pretty much it. Sure, the action scenes are nicely done. But the same is true of plenty of other movies before and since that have much more compelling stories to frame the action.
