"A device was found at Louisiana Scrap Metal located in Port Allen, LA on Wednesday, May 24, 2026. It was called into LDEQ at [1630 CDT] on June 24, 2026. LDEQ sent out an inspector to the site on June 25, 2026. He took photos and surveyed the device. He was reading approximately [1 mrem per hour] at the surface of the device by an external probe with a 1x1 sodium iodide crystal with a Ludlum Model 3A survey meter.
