The #Sony physical media firestorm going around is frustrating me so much. "Selling" licenses to #games they can take away again is literally the same thing #Steam does, but all these comment threads are full of people ranting about leaving Playstation to go to Steam. It's a bigger issue than Sony. It's a bigger issue than video games! Ebooks, audiobooks, any digital rights managed shit.
What does good look like? GOG. (Are they on Fedi?) Give us the installers. Don't use DRM.

@kokos I think all games should come on enough floppy discs that its take long enough to install that you can read the manual.

@kokos You're pinging the wrong person for that. Unfortunately this is the future and it's unlikely to change. Boycott all you want, they don't care. I just wish they would change the name from "buy" to "rent" to it's clear what you are doing.
@grumpygamer You are an experienced developer, but your company is rather small in terms of size and budget. This is why I thought you might find it interesting to share your thoughts on whether publishing on Blu-ray was more difficult than digital releases. Or perhaps publishing was not your responsibility. That could be the case.
