Well, if the radar on the Weather Channel is right, we'll have a pretty big thunderstorm coming right around 9:30 or 10:00 when the local fireworks show is supposed to be on. That's okay with me.

For the first time in years, someone in the neighborhood set off some fireworks for about 20 minutes or so, not so close to my house as to be too very annoying, but I was surprised to hear them, as we usually don't have any. Theo was unperturbed.

I hope you're not having firecrackers close to you, especially if you have pets that will be frightened or if you suffer from PTSD.

I'll be glad when this holiday is over.
