Yesterday was the first big #Pride event I'd been to! Some quick thoughts~~
Seeing the smiling faces of thousands of beautiful people with pure solidarity and acceptance in their hearts, in such a defiantly festive setting, was actually magnificent!!
And having a welcoming group of friends to march with was lovely đĨ°

It's strange ~ this time last year I didn't know any of them and didn't even consider attending big Pride events.
Another year back, life was even darker and lonelier.
I'm sorry grateful to have found community, sincere friendships, and even a loving Partner since then!!
And I'm proud of them all ~ myself too!
So if things are dark, keep trying, and reach out if you can. There are good people out there, who will understand

Before we started I really wanted to bail and just go watch from the sidelines with a friend who also wasn't marching ~ but I'm glad I went through with it!
