Had the West abandoned Ukraine ever since Russia invaded Crimea and the Donbas, then yes it might well have been a 3-day SVO.
Or might even have been a Subject nation before then, like Belarus, if the Kremlin's political corruption had been unopposed by the Ukrainian people.

In the end, it is neither the Kremlin nor the West who are the real deciding factor. It is the Ukrainian people who decide.
