Which reminds me: I need new glasses.
Sat on my old ones last summer, been using my work (computer) glasses since then. Good for most occasions, but for really experiencing the clouds? Good glasses makes it somehow a spiritual thing even for an atheist like me.

This is a very telling thing.
Reminds me a bit of how Sweden stopped iron ore exports to Germany after Stalingrad.
The war is turning against Russia clear enough the Kazakhstan feels comfortable stopping vital supplies from being smuggled into Russia.

Had the West abandoned Ukraine ever since Russia invaded Crimea and the Donbas, then yes it might well have been a 3-day SVO.
Or might even have been a Subject nation before then, like Belarus, if the Kremlin's political corruption had been unopposed by the Ukrainian people.

In the end, it is neither the Kremlin nor the West who are the real deciding factor. It is the Ukrainian people who decide.

But it's made up of a lot of smaller projects (still big ones though). i.e. very possible political decisions. And will deliver positive effects along the way from each one.
Same with grid/utility level batteries. One at every power plant & every HV transformer would be good, but even just a handful could bring *big* benefits.
