Well, what use is an already-scanned book to _them_, after its information has been extracted?

So apparently #AI companies are buying old books at secondhand bookstores which aren't yet available in digital form, scan them in to feed their models, and then shred the books afterwards.

#PennedPossibilities 1060 — Tell us about a WIP that you want to finish but doubt you ever will.

I desperately want to write a collection of German folk tales that are essentially #Bible #fanfiction , but I doubt I will find the 100 tales needed for such a book.

I'll probably have to folks it into a book on the Divine together with tales of saints, miracles and so forth.

Weird #dream :

I visited some acquaintances when I saw some blocky, low-slung robots (little more than one meter in height) with two legs and an odd gait but no apparent arms messing around in the garden.

I expressed my concern to the host, and he said:

"Oh, those are the neighbors. They are 'chicken walkers' - apparently some new kind of gender identity."

I rarely remember my dreams these days, but when I do, they trend towards the bizarre.
