Instead of adding an idler pulley, what if we just add more pedals?

Because of the way this is put together, I either need to chop out part of the so the chain has clearance to reach the rear wheel, or I need to add an idler pulley like in this quick photoshop mock up. I'm leaning towards idler pulley to keep the frame as strong as possible.

@synx508 @botvolution @smellsofbikes has been talking about building a bike that extends taller hydraulically as you pedal, and sinks back down when you stop

@botvolution I'm very tall, and I'm still not sure I'm tall enough for this

I was out riding my bike around and found an abandoned bike that can contribute some things to this crazy bike I'm building
Replying to @MLE_online@social.afront.org
It's got pedals and a chain and brakes, and I've ridden it around the block. It still needs some work, but i think that's enough for today

If i had an extra crank, I could slap the rest of this together and try pedaling it around. Alas, I do not. I have all the other parts, but no crank in my spare parts bin

I added some more wheel offset and the steering is much better now
I could make the distance in size between the front and rear wheels even more ridiculous

I'm tired of all these things, whatever they are. Just say, "It's kind of hot, really hot, or extremely hot!"
@ai6yr Is this more useful than wet bulb? What's this new variation for?
@RueNahcMohr Making stuff just for the sake of it has always been a thing, but on Twitter, there was a strong element of commercialism, entrpreneurism, and influencerism infused into it.
Mastodon isn't the right place for those things. Things here are too quiet and slow for that.
If you're looking for a maker community of the scale that existed on twitter, you're not going to get it here.
There are still plenty of the commercially-minded makers on twitter, and you'll still get more reach there than you will here -- if that's what you want.
If you don't want to be on twitter, you just have put up with things being different here.
