@MLE_online @ai6yr I was being specific to the term 'heat'. There are others, like "if winds are over 100mph and you go outside you will die.", "if rain is accumulating faster than 12" per hour in a US city and you're in a car, you will die. " Things like that. There are a lot of assumptions in building code, civil codes, Etc, about what is "unlikely" and so need not be considered. Those assumptions will be tested extensively in the coming decade.

All you have to know is if the wet bulb temp is higher than about 95 degrees Fahrenheit then you will die within a few hours of being in it. (the higher it is the fewer the hours).
@RueNahcMohr I feel ya on how easy it is to get angry. Muting words is a pretty cool thing that works well here. Just saying that unlike other social networks you are likely not seeing a lot of stuff you would be interested in because you don't follow people. Curating that list, especially with selective word muting, can really give you a great experience.

So here is an experiment for you might try Rue. You've got 662 followers but you only follow 92. What if you followed back all of the people who follow you? Then when they did a make, perhaps inspired by something you did, it would show up in your feed. As it is, if you don't follow someone in the Fediverse, and no one else on your server instance does, you just won't see their posts. That is one of the differences between here and twitter/bluesky.
