If forced to downsize to a single bike, I'd have to keep my gravel bike, a 2019 Specialized Diverge Comp. While a tad slower than my road bike, I could still ride it on paved roads, plus gravel and dirt. It's what I ride when I don't know for sure the condition of the riding surface.
