I was just reminded of the time I landed in Seoul with a govt delegation and somehow, for some reason, the Korean media had been tipped off about the visit and there were a bunch of camera people circling around the gate as we entered the terminal. I was mortified and kept turning away from the cameras, which no doubt made me stand out like a sore thumb but I couldn't help myself. I figured at least some of the media were intelligence collectors...looking back on it, why would they be, who'd care? I don't even know why the media would've cared, but I can't speak for Korean interests. I was unnecessarily paranoid, but I also really hate having pictures taken of me. Other than that it was an enjoyable trip.
