One thing I've noticed by people who use apps to crosspost to a bunch of services; most of them don't seem to actively participate *here*, they're just like/boost-farming.
Do you *enjoy* having that type of user in your feed?

@WTL
IMO, it doesn't take anything away from the platform. The same people wouldn't engage here anyway. This way, I can choose to get the content here or just ignore.
I also think that if they start to get some signs of engagement here, maybe they change theirmind and start actually engaging here.
So I see it as positive, but on the other hand, I rarely follow accounts like that.

@WTL I hate it more when they come on here and complain that there is so little engagement here, yet they never respond to our replies and expect us to like, boost their unAltTexted messages and requests for mutual aid

@webhat I've seen a few posts like this too - I try to be helpful about how things work here, but so many just want to use this like Twitter of old.

@WTL they also have this ridiculous feeling of entitlement, as if we need to shape our behaviour and the platform we use to suit them

@webhat Some very much do; especially the influencer-types who don't understand why they can't manipulate the algorithm here. π€£
