@argv_minus_one only place to make friends in 2026 is internet, and it even feels lonely asf man...

I meant what kind of misinformation you had in mind.
But yes, I've noticed that too. Making friends offline in 1996 was hard; making friends offline in 2026 seems completely impossible.
Which is why it fills me with horror that politicians around the world seem to be trying to destroy the Internet…

Many people still think Linux and Firefox are secure for example.
Most of them laugh at you with their asses if you say Apple devices are more secure.
I even saw posts that say "4chan is dead" when it got hacked.
They also can't seperate tech and politics. For example I'm not big fan of Apple, Brave, Mullvad etc. but they just work.

…Yeah, I would laugh at you for telling me that too, not gonna lie.
I have no reason to believe Apple would not insert a back door into macOS in exchange for sufficient payment. I do have a reason to believe Linux people wouldn't do that: they'd be caught.
All other security properties are irrelevant if you can't even trust the good faith of the vendor, yes?

@argv_minus_one yeah, backdoors can happen I also think about that.
