It sucks when you meet some good people but things don't align with everyone to have a home on a platform that everyone likes. It's certainly part of how social media works today and has for years and will continue to do so going forward for a long time.

I guess it's time to find something new, something that works for me and something I enjoy.

@cliffwade Whatever happened to how it used to be years ago, with AIM and IRC, a plethora of phpBB forums… those were the good ol’ days.

@JoshHrach AIM and IRC were the days, for sure! I was really hoping the community I was part of would go the route of IRC, but they didn't unfortunately.

@cliffwade I'd still love to try my hand at an IRC client app, but I typically work on apps that scratch a personal itch, and IRC hasn't been a big itch for me for over a decade, sadly.
