@quixoticgeek Right after the 2024 eclipse, my coworker did a google trends search for "why do my eyes hurt" and there were a lot of hits in the path of totality.

I like to think I'm a student of life and trying to be a better human every day.
I spend my time learning more about #electronics, #homeautomation, #sewing. Getting outside to ride my #bicycle and looking for #mushrooms on my walks is always a plus. I also like exploring the world through #math, #python, #LaTeX, #cooking, #volunteering, #photography, and turn-based #jrpgs and tactics games.

@returntosender more like Humans must ask for permission to sleep on the bed or use the furniture. The only fundamentally true law of the universe is if a dog is on a bed, the dog will consume the maximum space and all other users will be forced to contort themselves to fit, for every size dog and for every size bed.
@ascentale @grammasaurus @bikenite I'm in Seattle A1. I usually keep electrolyte tablets in my saddle bag so I always have some. I do keep a specific bottle for the tablets because I feel like it's a pain to get the taste out. I also bring carbohydrate gummies just in case. I wear breathable material including socks. I usually ride to heart rate so I'll be going slower to manage that with increased heat. #bikenite
@ascentale @SamUpstate @bikenite #bikenite A2. @TheWarOnCars can has some ideas from their book "Life After Cars."
@ascentale @bikenite #BikeNite A8 Cascade Bicycle Club in Seattle has a free ride that starts in various locations depending on desired speed. They all end at a senior center that makes homemade pies that they sell by the slice. It's a fun thing to do Wednesday around lunch time.
@ascentale @uxMark @bikenite #BikeNite A3. I have an endurance frame road bike. That's probably my pick. I like going out and spinning, so being comfortable is important. And I prefer road vs more technical terrain like gravel even if gravel is less busy.
