Buddy of mine had a Ducati that he never rode. We started calling it his Canadian Girlfriend because we never saw her, she went to another school, you wouldn't know her.

Father, husband, some sort of hacker, occasional computer scientist.
I love programming, fonts, computing esoterica, and learning languages (even if I’m not very good at it).

Me: Move Biscuit
Biscuit: *moves approximately one inch*
Me: Biscuit. Move.
Biscuit: *moves approximately one half inch further*
Me: Biscuit...
Anyway so I'm in bed now but I can't stretch my legs out because Biscuit is in the way.

The grandfather can't bear to see his son excluded, and the grandfather is 95. We're trying to be kind.
My wife's sister, my niece, and my nephew are up in Iowa to see my wife's grandfather.
There's an uncle up there that is problematic. Last time my SIL and niece were up there he made my niece cry by telling her over and over that the illegals were going to murder people, the Democrats were trying to force her to be a boy, etc, etc (this is the same uncle that punched a photographer at the last family reunion).
Anyway. He's insisting he come to every dinner.
Why are people like this.
I talked about Buffy the Vampire Slayer on a work call and one of our interns said “oh yeah my grandma told me about that show” so I’m just going to lay down and die now.
It has been 32 years since Soundgarden's Black Hole Sun was released and I'm still not ready to hear it again.
Those of you who weren't around in 1994, you have to understand: we couldn't skip songs on the radio, and they played it *constantly*.
I lived in a small town. On a good night I could receive a Houston alt-rock station (locally all we had was talk/gospel/country).
I'm still mad at how many spots Black Hole Sun took up. How many awesome songs did I miss out on for it??
