what's my AuDHD comrades' experience with caffeine?

I don't know. It's hard to measure. Sometimes it seems to help, others I just crash completely. Not sure if it's circumstances (like how tired I am) or just too hard to judge. I cut way down however since I found out what it was doing to my brain. Still need some in the morning, or days where my sleep doesn't match exterior requirements (doctor's appointment, etc.).

@theautisticcoach I used to think coffee was some kind of elixir of life, but it turned out that it was just a pleasurable experience—one that was more symbolic than anything else in terms of its stimulating effect:
I can drink three cappuccinos before bed and still sleep like a log. @autistics

My 14YO gets very sleepy if they have coffee - they're AuDHD though.
I usually have one (very strong) mug of coffee per day, but I've never really noticed any "buzz" from it, though in my yoof I used to have 2 or 3, and used to get a lot more headaches (hardly ever get them these days). I'm officially Autistic, but probably AuDHD too.

@theautisticcoach @autistics Not AuDHD, just „Au“ 😉 – until a few years ago caffeine didn't have much effect on me.
Just once at a computer repair session with friends I had had several cups of coffee, what I usually didn't do, and later that day I felt very dizzy.
Since a few years I have high blood pressure and drinking coffee makes my blood pressure go up like a rocket, so I don't drink coffee anymore, just decaf. Doesn't matter for me, because I drink it for the taste, not for any effects.

Makes me very hyper for about 5 minutes then I could sleep standing up.
