For my new followers: this year I finished designing and sewing this series of four wall quilts inspired by the four movements in Edvard Grieg's Peer Gynt symphonic suite (you absolutely know the tunes for #1 and #4). One shape per bar of music, the chord determines the colour. "Morning Mood". Rectangular wall quilt with hexagonal tiles laid out to resemble colourful clouds against a blue sky. Some lapel pins dot the background.

"Ase's Death". Rectangular wall quilt with several horizontal bands in colourful gradients. They are organized to suggest a phone text conversation.

"Anitra's Dance". Rectangular wall quilt made of tiled triangles. They are arranged to fill a spacj with a meandering line. There are triangular rhinestones and there is wavy metallic embroidery.

"In the Hall of the Mountain King". Rectangular wall quilt which looks a bit like a step pyramid, or maybe a top-down view of a xylophone. Each row gets progressively bigger and brighter until there are starburst explosions in the last three rows.
