@ChrisMayLA6 Failure to understand social distribution of effective demand is rhe post-2008 tragedy.

Low-interest after the 2008 crash and resulting possibility of quantitative easing ( #QE) could have been used both as helicopter money and for wage-intensive public investment such as houses. The UK housing crisis could have been eliminated, with huge consequential gains.

But the LibDem breakthrough coincided with -#OrangeBook #neoliberalism, and Clegg missed the moment.:An epochal failure.

How fast power fades.

Sunday was the 2nd anniversary of #Starmer's full colour walk into Downing Street. With a criminally undemocratic â…” of Commons seats on â…“ of the popular vote, King Charlie3 had asked the freebie-clad Starmer to form a government.

Today, Monday, Starmer is fading away like an old b&w television set switched off. In exactly 2 weeks, Manchester Andy will make the same walk, in full colour. And begin the same fade.

Will #Burnham be more colourfast? Don't bet on it.

Brave #MetropolitanPolice officers fearlessly risked their lives to atend a small peaceful gathering and remove the serial #terrorist before anyone was hurt by hearing that mass slaughter in #Gaza is a bad rhing.

The UN Commission of Inquiry has released a devastating report alleging that Israeli forces carried out deliberate, systematic attacks on children in #Gaza and the #WestBank after 7 October 2023.

Investigators cite more than 21,909 children killed and at least 44,143 injured, alongside thousands more maimed, widespread amputations, acute starvation, and the collapse of paediatric and neonatal care.
