It has literally never even occurred to me to buy lunch out. To think that they've budgeted four thousand pounds of their salary on it is batshit to me. To a person on minimum wage that's over 16% of their salary. If you then removed travel costs that leaves a shade over 18k. Then energy, water, council tax, broadband and TV licence brings it down to under 13k. The average annual food costs for 2 people is 5k which brings it down to 7875, which means you'd need to find somewhere to live that costs £650 a month (less than half the average UK rental cost) then literally never go out or do anything. It's like me saying I've been buying a horse every morning to travel to and from work then just releasing it at the end of the day, but instead of 5 new horses a week I've decided to take the bus. Please shower me with praise for not purchasing approximately 253 new horses every year (average cost £4500 =£1,138,500).
