Lots of the same racists that used ro join the Klan now join Nazi groups now that there are few WWII veterans left in their communities. From 1941 until probably the late '90's there was a huge rejectiob of open Naziism in the general public because of WWII. US involvemenr in WWII was acceptee because of Pearl Harbor. The Klan held similar views but wirhout the swastika-emblazoned baggage.
Since then huge numbers of WWII veterans have run out their lifespans, and the Klan got clobbered by doxxing campaigns that cost a lot of KKK members their jobs.
