@JEmphatically Let’s _not_ wait for Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) for an analysis on competing with Asian oil.

“While CAPP claims to advance Canadians’ interests, most of the corporations on its board are either fully or majority foreign-owned. Together, these corporations were responsible for 97% of all oil production in Canada – and they fund the overwhelming majority of CAPP’s budget.”

@JEmphatically Has there been any analysis of how competitive the Chinese, Kazakhstan, Asian oil fields are to Canadian produced oil?

China produces as much oil as Canada.
China invests and subsidizes. Is Canada prepared to compete against this? For a foreign dominated industry?

Just because oil could be shipped to Asia how much would actually be bought?
Asia buying significant Canadian oil is just a Daniel Smith mirage?

TMX (& Alberta)s supplying US refiners ..
What would change this?

The same multinationals that operate in Canada, do the same in China, Kazakhstan, Asia.. Their loyalties are to their own profit, not the well-being of any country.

Lost in the powerful political noise surrounding pipelines in Canada is a blunt economic analysis.

What org will do the analysis and face the political backlash against the well organized noise?

The multinationals make their decision on profit only, not which nation will profit ..

Nations are an inconvenience multinationals manipulate and compromise to maximize profit. Politicians and their supporters that refuse to recognize this are fools.

Who are the well paid fools?
