Just trying to spread the good word about IPv6. Member of an obscure technical group on the internet. Still remember when it was all the ARPANET. DNS/DNSSEC.
Love pretty much any musical instrument with strings and frets (and a few with just strings). Play/build/repair as many of them as I can.
Profile picture is a 1924 Gibson F-4 mandolin with a Virzi tone producer.
i do screen followers. if you are brand new, don't have any useful bio, or posts, generic avatar, etc. i will probably deny your request.

yes!!!
the improvement of individual coders and the overall improvement of the team and project at the win in code reviews. AI will not get "smarter" and it won't get its morale or pride improved. code reviews of AI code are a vain attempt to catch crap code in the same way that bailing a sinking boat with a thimble is an attempt to not sink.

it's not even a "both sides".
biden made things safer. not safe, but safer. "before biden" was an already weak public safety stance.

we should start a rumor that @wendynather will be the next Joker in the DC film canon. ;)
i'd be OK with fuentes not being allowed to go to college, travel without supervision, and be prohibited from speaking in public.

LLMs can count word usage. comprehension requires actual reading, a legitimate technical background, and a willingness to participate in scientific method/standards.

since early in my career, i've set obvious hostnames and had the hostname in my shell command line prompt so it's really clear where i am. even with that, i have had some close calls. :)

apparently, when you can't tell how early it is due to the sun always being up, you really learn to bake things well. :D

i love this. we could call it the world plate!
first time i had a norwegian cinnamon bun was a bakery in london. it was indeed amazing and the best i'd ever had.
i can't even count the number of amazing foods i've learned about travelling. it's definitely a measurable part of what i plan on trips.
The best cinnamon bun I’ve ever eaten and more reasons why we travel

the "charm" of totally ignoring real history is that you don't suffer from noticing stuff like this.
